Beloved Children in the Lord,

We are pleased to inform you of the decision which the Synod of the Church of the G.O.C. reached in its meeting on September 2/15, 2011. It unanimously approved of and blessed the commencement of the theological institute of higher learning in America. The Three Hierarchs Theological Institute, hosted by the Holy Ascension monastery in Woodstock, NY will provide valuable training for the future clergy and laity of the Genuine Orthodox Church in America through a flexible system of distance learning.

We encourage all those who are able, to participate in this program of study. Those who cannot, we encourage to support this endeavour in every way.

Ἀγαπητά τέκνα ἐν Κυρίῳ,

Εὑρισκόμεθα εἰς τὴν εὐχάριστον θέσιν νὰ σᾶς ἐνημερώσωμεν περὶ τῆς ἀπο¬φά¬σεως ἣν ἔλαβεν ἡ Ἱερὰ Σύνοδος τῆς Ἁγιωτάτης Ἐκκλησίας τῶν Γ.Ο.Χ. κατὰ τὴν συνε¬δρίαν τῆς 2ας /15ης Σεπτεμβρίου 2011, καθ’ ἣν, ὁμοφώνως ἐνεκρίθη καὶ ἐπευλογήθη ἡ ἔναρξις της λειτουργίας ἐν Ἀμερικῇ Θεολογικοῦ ἱδρύματος ἀνωτάτων σπουδῶν. Ἡ ἐν τῇ Ἱερᾷ Μονῇ Ἀναλήψεως τοῦ Κυρίου Woodstock Νέας Ὑόρκης ἑδρεύουσα Θεολογική Σχολή τῶν Τριῶν Ἱεραρχῶν θὰ παρέχῃ μέσω τοῦ εὐελίκτου συστήματος τῆς ἐξ ἀποστάσεως ἐκπαιδεύσεως, πολύτιμον κατάρτισιν διὰ τὰ μέλλοντα κληρικά καὶ λαϊκά στελέχη τῆς ἐν Ἀμερικῆ Γνησίας τοῦ Χριστοῦ Ὀρθοδόξου Ἐκκλησίας.

Προτρέπομεν ἅπαντας τούς δυναμένους νὰ συμμετάσχουν εἰς τά προγράμματα σπουδῶν, τούς δέ λοιπούς νὰ στηρίξουν παντοιοτρόπως τήν προσπάθειαν.
