On Sunday, July 22/August 4th, 2013, the Cathedral of Saint Markella in Astoria, NY, celebrated its feast day. Present for the feast were His Eminence, Metropolitan Pavlos of America, whose Cathedral is St. Markella, His Grace, Bishop Demetrius of Boston, as well as clergy from the Cathedral, St. Isidoros on Long Island, and from Holy Ascension Monastery in Bearsville, NY.
Following the Divine Services on Sunday, the Cathedral held its annual outdoor festal celebration in honor of the feast.
